ABOUT ABOUT

In celebration of Women's History Month, join us, GPFO, on Tuesday March 13th for our Filmmakers at the Prince series event in partnership with Philadelphia Women in Film & Television (PWIFT): "Building a Business from the Ground Up" featuring Rakia Reynolds, Founder & CEO of Skai Blue Media!

This is an event not to be missed- Rakia's career has been nothing short of extraordinary!  We will explore Rakia's successful career, beginning as a television producer to launching her public relations agency Skai Blue Media where she reps amazing clients such as champion athlete Serena Williams, model and body activist Ashley Graham, to 12-year-old social activist Marley Dias #1000blackgirlbooks!  Rakia will share her expert insights on the needed foundation to build a successful business, best public relations tips and practices for content creators, and navigating the business landscape as a woman.

Fun fact: Rakia was the founder of the Philadelphia chapter of the non-profit organization, Women in Film and Television, PWIFT!

Admission: $10.  Open to the public.

Parking Info: The Prince Theater offers discounted parking to attendees/patrons: Prince patrons can park for just $15 at the garage under Liberty Place, entrances on both 16th and 17th Streets, between Market and Chestnut Streets. In order to receive this discount, you must park in the Liberty Place garage, and pick up a “chaser card” at the Prince box office when you arrive at the theater to attend the performance. When used in combination with the parking facility’s own ticket, this chaser card will reduce the price of your parking to $15, for a period up to 12 hours. Please ask at the box office for detailed instructions on how to use the “chaser card.”
