Diversity Matters- In front of and behind the camera.
Find out how you, as a filmmaker or an actor, can benefit from the SAG-AFTRA diversity initiatives.
Join us on Tuesday, April 5th for "Diversity Matters" as we delve into why inclusive filmmaking not only makes the most sense because it reflects the makeup of our communities, but because it makes the most business sense for you as a filmmaker! We will explore SAG-AFTRA initiatives for filmmakers of all budgets to ensure diversity happens in Philadelphia!
Our featured guests will provide insights into their experiences with SAG-AFTRA in creating their film from script to screen, in our latest installment of GPFO's Filmmakers @ the Prince series.
Featured guests: Adam Moore, SAG-AFTRA, National Director – EEO/Diversity, Lynn Koenigsberg, SAG-AFTRA Business Representative, Philadelphia Local, John Wooten, Co-Vice Chair, SAG-AFTRA National Ethnic Employment Opportunity Committee, Lyman Chen, Actor (The Departed, Safe), Nakia Dillard, Actor/Director (Law Abiding Citizen, The Wire), Robin Rieger, Actress (Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, How to Get Away with Murder). Moderated by Amira Smith, Greater Philadelphia Film Office.
SAG-AFTRA's diversity initiatives, such as the Diversity in Casting incentive for indie films, encourage inclusion, better roles, and diverse voices in the storytelling process. We will discuss breaking down the barriers to entry for content creators and how GPFO, SAG-AFTRA and SAGIndie can help you tell the story you want, where you want, with the most professional people possible.
